- Cizre is a city in the Cizre District of Şırnak Province in the south of Kurdish Turkey and near the border of Syria. During Erodgan's 2015 internal war, Turkish troops found 50 Kurdish civilians trapped in a basement. The troops set fire to the building that they already had heavily damaged. There has never been a file submitted to the International Criminal Court in The Hague despite evidence that it was about an internal war that merely targeted Kurdish civilians and that the crime constituted crimes against humanity.
